Northern Rivers Bushwalking Club - in September 2010, an informal affiliation was made between SBW and Northern Rivers Bushwalking Club in order to promote interaction for the mutual benefit of each club's members. NSW Emergency Services Wilderness Navigation Shield - NavShield - organised by BWRS, this is the premier navigation event for bushwalking clubs and emergency services, held on the first weekend in July each year.
NSW Rogaining Association - rogaining is the sport of long distance cross country navigation. Events are typically from 6 to 24 hours, and are an excellent way of learning and practising your navigation
Sydney Summer Series - these are 45 minute events on Wednesday evenings where you navigate around the streets trying to score as many points as possible. Good for navigation under pressure.
