Why do you bush walk?

I have done many team of 4  Wild Endurance walks 50 km and 100 km together with Coastrek and the Trailwalker, Oxfam.

I have loved the mountains since my childhood in Macedonia, FYR where I walked with my parents, and then with my husband in Macedonia, Slovenia and Bulgaria.

I love walking and seeing the nature, I read somewhere, I suppose, " because we came from nature and feel a part of it." It is so beautiful and special. I also feel deeply that we have borrowed Planet Earth from our children and therefore we have to look after.

When did you join SBW?

In 2010 I think.

What's your favourite piece of gear in your pack and why?

My shoes, I wash them after every walk and look after them, because they keep my feet happy. Boots for long walks and night walks and trail runners for day walks.

What is the average weight of your overnight pack, without water?

8 kg, go light if you could.

What's one piece of advice you can offer new walkers that you wish you knew when you started?

No matter how experienced you are show respect for the mountain and the outdoors, weather and terrain change, be prepared for all conditions and stay safe at all times.

A memorable walk?

With the SBW 100 Man cave and The Castle. Really recommend: Lord Howe Island Mt Gower and the Jatbula trial NT, very spiritual and amazing climb/walk.

What kind of walks do you like?

Any walk really it has it's own beauty.

Do you have a walks philosophy or motto?

Keep exploring and be amazed!

What's on your walking wish list?

The Thorsborne trail on Hinchinbrook Island, Kilimanjaro, Mt Rinjani......

Any other passions/interests?

Karate, GKR I love it.
